He obtained his MBBS graduation degree from Coimbatore Medical College, Coimbatore and masters in General surgery, MS from Jawaharlal Institute of Post graduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry. He also done DNB in General Surgery in National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. After that he updated himself with other specialization, MCh in Surgical Gastroenterology from LNJPN Super speciality Hospital and Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi.
