Pre Booked for a scan by phone but when came to do the scan with 3 hr fasting they simply give a token of a long que which almost take another 3 hr waiting for the patient who came already with a 3 hr fasting. Totally an unprofessional approach even from the front desk.

I was in urgency to take vitamins B12 injection (IM). I telephonically enquired to know whether this hospital can administer it for me then. I also informed them that I had my physician’s prescription, the medicine, syringe and all. I specifically asked whether I have to take an op ticket. To that they replied that I need not take a ticket but they need a file to be created with my details. They also instructed me to bring the prescription, medicine and all. On reaching the hospital I handed over the prescription at the causality as informed me at the reception. The prescription was returned to me with a round marked over the date and the staff told me that the doctor said this prescription is more than one month old and need a fresh one. To this I pointed out that the prescription says the medicine is to be administered ONCE in a month. Hence the date. After a while the Staff returned with a comment, ‘ask your physician to put the date correct in future. This time they are entertaining it.’ My Physician is having more than one PG degree in respective fields and practicing in a very famous hospital. All these are obvious in the prescription itself. Since they agreed to administer this time, and that was the last IM in the course for the vitamin B 12 deficiency treatment, I didn’t respond. Now they asked me to take an op ticket costing Rs.150/- I pointed out to the above telephonic conversation but of no use. The total cost of medicine, syringe and all i had with me cost below rs. 20/-. To me it seemed to be illogical to take a ticket costing about 10 times to administer. And the cost for administration is yet to know. Hence I quit.
Now the questions in my mind are these.
1. Why they have misguided me regarding the OP ticket in the telephonic conversation?
2. Whether the physician at the OP doesn’t know English? Whether he studied in China?
3. Whether he does not know the protocol for treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency?
This is my experience shared here for the information of the fellow citizens who may be thinking about going to this hospital.

Please don’t go to this hospital for severe illness, especially cancer. They failed to diagnosis properly cancer in stomach of my grandfather when already throat cancer at beginning stage was under treatment. Now his situation went to metastatic condition where no further treatment was possible. They failed to diagnose it even after regular checkups and treatment. Always go for second opinion before starting treatment.
