Dr Prakash Kumar Hazra has more than 28 years of experience as a cardiologist, making him one of the most experienced cardiologists in Kolkata. He is best known for his heart failure treatments, since he has helped thousands of patients by performing angioplasty and pacemaker implantation procedures. He also has expertise in treating structural heart diseases such as aortic aneurysms and performing procedures such as closure techniques for appendages.

He earned his MBBS from the University of Calcutta in 1988 and registered with the West Bengal Medical Council in the same year. Some years later, he secured a seat at PGIMER in Chandigarh, where he earned his MD in General Medicine in 1994. Dr. Prakash went on to earn a DM in Cardiology from the same college. He has also done a fellowship at the American College of Cardiology in the USA.
