Dr. Prashant Garg is the Executive Chair of L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) and has had a prosperous career in corneal infections, anti-microbial resistance, and eye banking. His special area of interest lies in Cornea & Anterior Segment, Cataract, Glaucoma, Endophthalmitis, Photo Retinitis, Macular diseases, Retinal Detachment, Strabismus, Eye cancer, Ptosis, Optic Neuritis, Uveitis, and Corneal Ulcer.

Dr. Garg completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), a Master of Surgery in Ophthalmology from Ravindra Nath Tagore Medical College, and later acquired advanced training through a fellowship in cornea and anterior segment from L V Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad. He has won numerous international and national awards and has held multiple reputable positions in the past, including Director of the Kallam Anji Reddy campus in Hyderabad, Kode Venkatadri Chowdary campus in Vijayawada, a Network Head of Education, and a Network Head of Eye Banking, and Chair of Dr. Paul Dubord Cornea.

Dr. Prashant Garg has achieved numerous accomplishments, including 190 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, being an invited faculty member for prestigious international meetings, and serving on the boards of several international organizations, scientific journals, and societies. He is a life member of various esteemed organizations, namely Academia Opthalmological Internationalis, Indian Council of Medical Research, All India Ophthalmology Society, and International Joint Commission on Allied Personnel in Ophthalmology.
