Dr. Rajesh Barasia is a highly experienced general surgeon with over 27 years of experience. He is proficient in laparoscopic and colorectal surgery and strives to treat patients with the fewest number of cuts and stitches. He has provided surgical treatments to thousands of patients with issues like kidney stones, varicose veins, piles, breast cancer, gallstones and anal fissures.
He earned his MBBS from the University of North Bengal in 1990. Some years later, he secured a seat at Gauhati University, where he completed his MS in General Surgery in 1998. Dr. Rajesh has since done a fellowship in gastrointestinal surgery. He is registered with the West Bengal Medical Council and is a fellow of the Association of Surgeons of India.
