Experience

  • I am currently working as a consultant in Hepatology and GI department in apollo health city in Hyderabad. I am the lead consultant for liver services including Hepatology and liver transplantation.
  • I worked as a consultant hepatologist at Krishna institute of medical sciences, in Minister road, Hyderabad, India, which is a 1000 bed tertiary referral unit from July 2012 until October 2024. I was the clinical lead for hepatology services, including dedicated hepatology clinics, liver transplantation and hepatopancreatobiliary endoscopy including ERCP and EUS. I was one of the founding members of the liver unit and transplantation centre in KIMS hospitals. Over the last decade we performed close to 500 cadaver liver transplants in addition to several hundred living related transplantations.
  • I was the junior doctors representative in 2007 at the Walsall Manor hospital in the MMC/ OOH practice committee when significant changes were being made to the way out of hours acute care was delivered including introduction of nurse practitioners and withdrawing house officers from the rota.
